Before anyone has a piercing, we discuss consent & aftercare.
Children's Ear Piercing
I perform children's lobe piercings from age 6, this is my age limit and will not pierce any child younger than that.
If the piercing is for a child, this means that a parent/guardian must accompany and consent given for the child to have their piercings. HOWEVER, this does not mean because the parent/guardian has given their consent, that I will perform the piercing, this has to be the child's decision. I will not perform any piercing unless I can see the child is willing and has no doubts.
Consent is key, having their ears pierced is a huge thing for a child. My aim is to create a less anxious and scary memory for them, but they need to understand the procedure involves needles; I do not use a gun.
If the child changes their mind before any piercings are done, that is OK, if they want to stop after just one, that is also OK, I want the child to leave me feeling respected and happy with whatever decision they have made.
They also need to follow the aftercare process for their fresh piercing , with a little help from a parent/guardian.
A lot of common concerns with your piercing are NOT an infection, however if you are concerned, please don't hesitate to contact me with ANY questions or concerns you may have with your piercing.
Genital Piercing - prerequisites for a genital piercing the area should be freshly washed and trimmed of pubic hair.
(Please note, I'm a male body piercer in my own private studio, if you feel comfortable bringing a companion with you for any intimate piercings, please feel free to do so)

Make sure you eat well the day before and on the day of your piercing as this will ensure your blood sugar levels are at their best, minimising any risk of fainting.
You should try to avoid drinking alcohol and taking recreational drugs the day before and on the day of your piercing as this thins the blood, which can increase the risk of bleeding when the piercing is performed.
If you take medication that thins your blood, or you live with haemophilia, unfortunately, I won’t be able to pierce you, due to increased risk of bleeding and infection

Successful healing requires a strict aftercare regime. Neglecting to care for the piercing and bad habits, such as playing with your jewellery will almost certainly lead to issues and complications.
Harsh chemicals, soaps, essential oils and ointments may not improve your healing abilities. In most cases, they tend to delay the healing as they are too harsh for the fresh piercing. Therefore, I highly recommend sterile saline wound wash, which can be purchased from me at time of piercing.
You will be provided with an aftercare guide, however, a simple cleaning guide:

You will be given further advice on the day of your piercing and a leaflet to take away.
While infection is rare from a fresh piercing , it is essential to seek immediate professional medical advice at the first signs of infection.
Symptoms can include:
Should you experience any of those symptoms, please seek medical advice from your GP immediately.
As a Body Piercer I am unable to give you medical advice.
To help avoid any infections, you should avoid touching your new piercing with unwashed hands.
Do not remove your piercing within the healing period, and do not twist or play with the jewellery.
Avoid applying makeup to any freshly pierced area.
Your initial piercing is performed with jewellery that is slightly longer or larger in diameter than you will want for your end result; this is to allow for potential swelling from the fresh piercing and helps the cleaning.
Once the swelling, if any, has settled please book back in for a jewellery downsize/change and I can also perform a health check on your piercing. I would usually recommend you make this appointment 3 to 4 weeks after the initial piercing.
If a piercing is consistently slept on or constantly moves due to the larger sized initial jewellery, the angle of the piercing can be distorted - "migration". Downsizing your jewellery in a timely manner prevents this.
This can only be a rough guide as everyone heals at different rates from a fresh piercing:

· Inner Labia
· Prince Albert

· Tongue (After 2 weeks, downsizing can be done)

· Labret, Madonna, Medusa, Monroe, Ashley, Side Labret
· Snake Bite or Spider Bite
· Dimples/Cheeks
· Outer Labia
· Frenum
· Scrotum
· Guiche
· Foreskin
4 to 6 months:
· Male Nipple
